Fri. Feb 27 7:30 PM
$30.63 ($25 ticket + $5.63 taxes and fees)
Don't Mess With Cupid
Don't Mess With Cupid is a 9 piece soul group based out of Madison, Wisconsin. They play Otis Redding, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, and more.
Compact Deluxe
How does an instrument become a musical group? Twenty years ago, Compact Deluxe was named after a vintage Farfisa organ whose fuzzy transistorized sound left its signature on a thousand pop hits of the '60s, '70s, and '80s. During its evolution from one-man-band to duo, trio, and currently a shape-shifting musical project, Compact Deluxe stayed focused on its original inspiration: the instrumental sounds of the Cold War epoch. Top 40, Psychedelic, Surf, Soul, Spaghetti Western, British invasion, TV/Movie themes and more! The current lineup includes founding member Tim Consequence on vintage organ, and features vocalist extraordinaire Kayla Kush (who hosts popular radio broadcast "Saturday Night Style" on WORT 89.9FM) Bass and drums are handled by Matt Viper, and Ben Kauth respectively, with Brian Dendy on drums. Expect some extra spice from guest musicians and vocalists for a truly memorable retro music experience!
